Might want to edit the thread-title ... this is actually interesting!

Nerds don't really care about Star Wars anymore since Disney killed it.

Star Wars is about sex and life.

Sperm enter egg...and caboom, victory.

That's what Disney didn't grasp. The subconscious appeal isn't about good vs evil or some religious-like order of warriors...it's about the success of procreation....

It is Vader's issue that ultimately led to victory in ROTJ.

I'm joking but I'm not joking.

I called it that coz I couldn't find any old related thread, which is insane considering the huge number of techies that have watched the movies at least a zillion times with the glee of a five year old eating icecream or munching down on chocolates or brownies.

So does this mean the Dark side encourages sex for procreation and a long line of descendants and the Light side just makes Jedis out of anyone it deems worthy?

They are furiously working on the next trilogy with the lessons learned from the success of The Mandalorian. No way they are gonna let a billion dollar franchise sit around collecting dust. I have no source, by the way. I felt the Force put this thought in my mind.

I like SW still, just not the new movies. One of my favorite things to play from Star Wars is Empire at War on steam. Great community, great mods, great support. I like the old canon better.

I'm really looking forward to Rogue Squadron. And Wraith Squadron. Man, never have I enjoyed more the escapades of a bunch of talented rejects/fvck-ups. That's the first thing Kathleen would have done if she had any sense of fun. I mean, who the hell gets on stage and declares awarding the director of The Last Jedi his own trilogy??? A woman with no sense whatsoever. That's who.

Please don't say you hated Rogue One. It has the the best Star Wars battle scenes ever. To think it was saved by a director who actually didn't care about Star Wars. Give him more Star Wars stuff, Disney!

It means you've made a tragic mistake and actually read that post! ;)

Transformers movies make a crap-ton of money too...

Disney is now focused on churning out feeble-minded dreck that's mainly intended for children and is "good enough" to rake in money which is the only thing they care about.

Rogue One was actually really good!

I'll allow that it didn't suck! ;)

That's always been their bread and butter. But every once in a while, they end up making something really worth watching. They are like Intel but some of the people in their midst are AMD type mavericks.

The Disney of old (Frozen 1 might be the last gasp of that Disney) is long gone. There was some value in storytelling then...but now since they literally own the entire industry and have shareholders to please, they're just making corporate visual entities that are called movies.

What, the whole Han-Leia-Luke romantic tension wasn't some high end hilarious perviness missing from the new films?
You just don't want to admit Star Wars is the subconscious manifestation of an infertile man's ideal fantasy in multiple ways?
I agree. Georgie boy played out his fantasies in the movies. Leah in that slavegirl tatters? Honestly, he wanted to see more of her flesh so came up with an idea to do that. And made us all think that is what Jabba likes. He IS real life Jabba. But at least, he gave free reign to the people under his employ on Skywalker ranch to do great things. He has a good side but also an equally dark side too.

While I was working today I went upstairs and my wife was watching Empire Strikes Back. She said this is really good not like all the new garbage Star Wars movies. In that moment I was reminded why she is a keeper.

You should have re-enacted the kiss scene on the Millenium Falcon with her :p

One doesn't need to be Freudian to understand the power of sex.

Young Carrie Fisher didn't move a vast generation of males(and select LGBTQ people)?

Farah Fawcett's famous pic where her hair spelled "sex" became the best-selling poster of all time.

Kind of funny Disney didn't do anything sexually provocative in de novo Star Wars when Simba and Nala totally getting frisky in The Lion King and in manner not done by natural lions but totally by humans..

There might be some sexual stuff in the game under development by Quantic Dream. That studio has trouble keeping sex out of its creativity.

Just watched Spaceballs last night.

I mean, that movie already covered the big bad showing his face five minutes into the film. Kylo Ren feels even more derivative and uninspired after watching that parody.

Hell, Dark Helmet playing with his dolls essentially lines out the general direction of the Disney sequel except that Rey is not a (Disney) princess.
