At least it can be a feature film. Anything made-for-tv can't do the book justice by default, especially back in the 90s. That's why the miniseries sucked. Here's hoping it's rated 'R'.

It probably needs to be at least as long as LOTR though.

I know it's a little strange but I've always thought it would be really interesting to live in a post virus apocalyptic world. Of the disasters that we see in fiction, I also think it is the most likely.

Gary Sinise has the lead on CSI: NY. Not great TV, but I'm sure he pulls a decent paycheck.

FWIW:
Rob Lowe works steadily on TV, moving from series to series; he never seems to hold a role for very long, but as soon as he quits one show someone else hires him.
I had to google Molly Ringworm to discover she has a role on an ABC Family series, the Secret Life of the American Teenager.

oh, lol. forgot about hat. but I don't watch CSI b/c it's some of the worst content ever produced.

😀

and yeah, Rob Lowe is currently on Parks & Rec. awesome show.

Actually, the Dark Tower is supposed to be a Trilogy with two tv seasons to supplement it. I think the season are supposed to air between the release or 1-2 and between 2-3. Unfortunately Ron Howard is going to do it. He used to be great but has been nothing but crap lately. Not to mention the last two novels he turned in to motion pictures have been horrible. Well....the books were pretty bad to begin with, but still.

I didn't think his Da Vinci Code was that bad, for a movie. Nothing really worth seeing again, and yes, the book was shitty.

Didn't watch the 2nd one...

I'm currently in the middle of "Under the Dome" and am really liking it so far. It would make a great movie as well. Hopefully the second half doesn't suck.

Prepare to be disappointed.

For those that liked The Stand, I suggest checking out The Passage by Justin Cronin.

Doesn't sound bad. Kind of like The Strain trilogy by Hogan and Del Toro. Swan Song by McCammon is another very Stand like book and really good.
