The last time I did any diving around Boston, they would nearly jail you if they caught you with a lobster. I was just training, but the signs were everywhere and they all said "My lobsters, keep out!".

Scuba is more of a sport than golf & NASCAR.

Golf can be a sport or a hobby, depending on whether you just do it for fun or you're entering contests. NASCAR is a sport.

To paraphrase Hemingway...There are only three sports, bull fighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; the rest are merely games...

I am a certified diver too. One of the first things they "teach" you is to make sure that you know that SCUBA is a sport, and to tell all your friends it is too :)

I went to the Bainbridge quarry a few weeks ago... absolutely awesome! But, one heck of a thermocline! 80 at the surface, 51 or something like that at 20 feet. Personally, I preferred to be below the thermocline... I had too thick of a wet suit on to spend much time near the surface.
