The snow removal company HATES my parking lot

Whoever designed the parking lot at my apartment complex needs to die a horrible death.

Layout

Basically, the aisle is just barely wide enough to give you room to pull out. Adding to this is that it only has one entrance/exit, so it is straight-in parking.

The result? A nightmare to park in and the snow removal company HATES this place. They have been here for over an hour just doing this lot. Granted, it would be easier if all the cars were out, but most lots are not too bad with cars in them.

Oh, and pics:

Death to the parking lot.

with only one way in and all those cars around, i can see how that would be a serious pain in the ass with anything larger than a self-pushing consumer snowblower.

Ok, where is the problem,??? 😕
heck there is almost no snow in your picture.

Come back and whine when you get more than 22 inches of snow,
in 24 hours.

The amount of snow is not the issue, it is the removal. First, there is nowhere to put it, there is a fence on all sides. Second, it has only a single entrance/exit, meaning that the truck has to back in. Third, the aisle is so narrow that turning it to get into the spaces is near impossible.

I looks more spacious and better plowed than the lots here at college in Erie, PA. I mean come on, you can see the blacktop. It wasn't until last week sometime that the blacktop finally showed through in our parking lots. I think that was the first time in a month that the temperature made it above freezing.

That is just ridiculous to the point of being hilarious. Wow.

I'm surprised there is no city code for parking lots that demand a stardardized snow pileup location.

Perhaps the removal company should get out of the truck and just use a snow thrower.

Or shovel it into the back of the truck for later disposal.

🙂

There probably is further north, but not here. This part of Wisconsin does not get that much snow each year, and rarely gets more than six inches at a time.

I suggested they use a hand shovel. I could easily do all the open spots (leaving the main aisle to a truck) in an hour or so.

It looks like if everyone moved their cars it would be 200x easier. When I lived in the apt if we didn't have our cars out at the announced snow removal time, you got towend.

Note that it is NOT the quantity of snow that is the issue.

That's all fine and dandy, but who's the tool driving the riced out bitchclipse?
He/she should be fired.

That would belong to one of the dumbasses that has a party every Friday and Saturday night. Thankfully they live on the other end of the building where I can not hear them.

Oops, I skimmed and thought it was an office type building, not an apartment building. 😱
