Windwaker was a steaming turd.

Twilight Princess was made specifically for the Wii to showcase the wiimote, but was also made for the poor people who only had a shitty gamecube.

While the first part of that is opinion and can't technically be "wrong", I think you'll find your opinion is in the vast, vast minority.

As for your second point, you're wrong. As has already been stated. TP had been slated for and planned as a GC release from the beginning. Owning both, I'd say it's the far superior version. You'd never hear that in 2006, when every grandmother HAD TO HAVE AWESOME MOTION CONTROLS, but not having to flail your arms around like a douche for Nintendo's 2 second gimmick is a major plus with the GC version.
