Looks like a full port of the original Sims game?

NOTES:
- This all-new experience of The Sims is designed for play on Android devices and is not connected to our Facebook game.
- You must have an Internet connection to play, so please make sure your device is connected.
- Due to the rich, immersive quality of this game, we recommend connecting to WiFi to download and play.

There's a 600MB download after the inital app install too.

Edit - Galaxy Nexus not supported right now. 🙁

No thanks. I wish these large games came with a download link I can get from my computer and transfer to the phone. It's a pain even with wifi. More often than not, I cancel a download when it takes more than 5 minutes.

Need a faster connection. I enabled wifi tether on my phone so a co-worker could connect to my phone and appear like he was on wifi to download another game. 700+mb downloaded in 4 minutes. LTE ftw!

Wow . . .so, when installing a game on your PC . . . do you get frustrated at the 10-20 minute installs? What about on patches? Patches these days can be in the GB, and take almost as long as a full application to install. 😛

Should clarify here, the initial Market install is a ~12MBs. When you start that for the first time, you're prompted to install the remaining 600-700MBs. Not sure if the app will force you to WiFi or not, GameLoft's titles usually do. In every case I've seen, you can stop and resume this process at any time. And if you're at home, connect the phone to your WiFi and cruise Reddit for 10 minutes. It'll be done when you return.

I just downloaded the app for kicks to see how long it would take using LTE on my new Skyrocket. I am still on the unlimited data plan if that makes a difference...

After the market download, the 2nd download for me was only 383MB.

The 2nd download prompted me to either use wifi or 3g. I selected 3g and assumed it would use the LTE connection. It took about 5 minutes (averaging about 3000kbps IIRC).

According to speedtest, my download speed is around 24Mbps.

Might try the game this weekend...
