I actually thought it was a bit "meh" as a movie, but definitely an amazing multi-part episode. I felt it should have had a little more...something.

Although I will likely be singing the Spider Pig song for the rest of my life. Pure gold there.

I wonder the same thing.

I just don't get how anyone could find the "spider pig" bit funny. It was as if the writers ran out of jokes so they got desperate and decided "oh, let's just have homer sing a song about spider pig, that should be funny". ><
