He is still sharing it today and yes it was corrupted.

Sometimes you have to close Kazaa to stop sharing corrupt files, as people keep downloading them. If a file is messed up, or not what it claims to be, I change the file information first if people are downloading it, then warn them, give them time to see it and people to see that specific file is messed up, then I close Kazaa and delete it.

Worst thing about the porn on Kazaa is that people don't label it right, and I can't find more of a few of the girls! :Q ;)

what annoys me about kazaa and what not is the amount of CRAPPY mp3's available to download. I sometimes have to d/l the same song 3 or 4 times before i even get a decent quality mp3...
do people really actually listen to these terribly ripped mp3's on their computers????
that's a good point, who's encoding such crap? and why?

n00bs cuz they are n00bs

And file size doesn't seem to indicate a better quality rip either. :( Or what's worse: a song that's cut off 10 seconds into it, but is still 6megs! WTF?

It's true, if you think about it.

Tell me your Kazaa user name and I'd be happy to take of that 11 GB off of your hands. :)

I have plenty of music hits. It's more likely that your friend has "popular" music or his selection sucks.

I agree, I must not have run across him but its almost impossible to find good complete songs on kazaa these days...

Porn or music, either way, if you are sharing it what does it matter what they are grabbing?

In reality, porn demand is bigger than MP3s.

Can I have your friends user name? It'd be nice to find some high quality correctly labeled stuff and I promise not to download any porn. If God wanted us to get porn off Kazaa he would not have invented usenet.

Just tell your friend not to share his video files, problem solved.

which brings up a good wuestion, if the pron trade on p2p is bigger than mp3's, then why don't we have the likes of Larry Flynt and Jenna Jameson threatning us with lawsuits? :D

You can subscribe (pay money) to what's called premium news services, but newsgroup access comes free with your ISP service. It's one of those things most people don't know or are intimidated by.

To the person who said they had agent (I am assuming you mean the Agent newsreader) but can't find anything. You don't have if configured properly. On my Road Runner news server, I have access to almost 50,000 newsgroups. Thousands of those groups are binaries newsgroups. It's mindboggling what you can d/l on newsgroups. Do some web searching on newsgroups and how to access them. You'll rarely if ever use p2p or IRC again.

I had it set up properly, I just couldn't find a damn thing worth downloading. I had about 50,000 newsgroups as well, but I must be looking in the wrong newsgroups because all that was posted there was sh!t. If there was a way to search (is there? if so i might have to take another look at it) it would be ++ better. Also, I never could figure out how to download anything. I would try to open the attachments but it just shows a bunch of ASCII nonsense, I guess it is trying to view the file as a text document.

I've tried newsgroups couple of times before and always ended up with nothing. I guess I didn't know where to look either.

I never download movies off Kazaa. And if I were downloading porn, I'd be scared of getting gays or scat stuff.
