Anyone here into racing or driving sims? Any opinions on which you like the best?

its almost on the borderline insane as some of the star citizen setups i have seen.

still cant understand why you car guys can't have the clutch on the shift stick, like a same person would.

Honestly, a true race oriented car would probably have a dog box, so the clutch would only be used when first moving from a stop.
 
It's interesting to me that both games put so much effort into making the interior of the cars - including the driver's hands - look realistic, but the tracks look like Mario Kart. Personally, I'd prefer having decent cars that are slightly less 'perfect' with proper physics and better tracks. I'd happily sacrifice a few stitches in the driving gloves and less flare on the console lights for better track surfaces and walls/barriers.

Do you really think it's that bad? If anything, I think Project CARS has more interesting track textures than the actual tracks. 😉 I don't think overall it looks bad at all - actually quite good, and runs smooth as glass (which is very important in a racing game).

The gloves in those two videos are not rendered in game. They are real.

I think the tracks probably look better in person than they do being recorded with a GoPro off of LCD screens.
