I just picked up the Garden State soundtrack the other day and it's as good as it was cracked up to be. Specifically The Shins. Easily one of the best bands I've heard in the last 5 years or so. I've already picked up Oh, Inverted World and Chutes Too Narrow and now I'm looking for some other artists in that same vein. Any recomendations?
Also, while I'm doing this, I'm looking for some good uptempo rock/jazz fusion stuff. This is kind of an obscure one but if there are any King Crimson fans here think 21st century Schizoid Man. That's the only song I can really point to as an example.
