Was there ever a remake of this film? I started watching it a few minutes ago and I feel like I have already seen that movie, but with different actors...

Yeah theydid with that d!psh!t from the early nineties comedy show Wings . The remake sucked.

Yeah I looked it up on IMDB before posting here. According to IMDB there was never a real remix other than the tv-series.... but I dunno I'm positive that I've seen a movie very similar to The Shining... maybe it wasn't a remake but a different movie... or maybe I'm just crazy... or maybe I'm a clairvoyeur

They did a halloween short on the simpsons about the Shinnin'

And they re-did it as a tv mini-series.

I think there was some kind of remake recently but I didn't hear too much about it.

Also, maybe you read it a long time ago. The Shining is one of Stephen King's books.
