The Shield is probably my favorite show. I'm not really into 24. I don't understand why so many people worship 24.

I'm with you on 24, I could never get into that show.

The shows I like are Lost, Entourage, Deadwood, The Office and to a lesser degree Prison Break. We'll see about the Shield. :)

I only watched the very first episode of 24 when I was a freshman in college. I liked it but never watched it again because once you miss an episode, you're pretty much lost.

I'll give you 20 bucks if you hate it
I'm halfway through season 1, and to be honest, it's okay, nothing great. I don't get the big deal.

I only really began to love the shield in seasons 4 and 5. That's where it began to look a little more like the wire and a little less like nypd blue meets the sopranos.

Seasons 1 and 2, I had problems with. I felt like they had too much hero worship for vic.

How can you not be lured in when Vic wastes Terry in the 1st episode.
Watch the whole show and you'll get an understanding for it. The last episode of Season 5 was one of the most intense moments on TV I've seen.

Because it seems like Training Day stretched out over a whole bunch of episodes, going nowhere.

That is what I thought of it for a while too. It gets better with each season. S4 and S5 are really great. I'd say skip to them but there are some plot elements you'd be confused by. Maybe you can check out some episode recaps or something.

The show gets much better in later seasons. There were quite a few episodes that made me look like this->

Just watched Dominoes falling, the end of Season 2. I am officially hooked. :)

I told you Presence ;)

Just don't watch the season 5 finale before you watch the earlier episodes or you won't feel the intensity of it.

You did indeed.
It takes a while to get into it, the begining is really slow moving. I probably would've said the hell if not for you guys singing it's praises.
