The SETI.Germany vs. TeAm AnandTech race in Correlizer. The goal has been reached!!!

As I have posted in the Correlizer "To-The-Top"-thread, it seems to me that SETI.Germany who are "1 just now, has been ramping up their production during the past three days.
If I have understood it all correctly (i may be wrong) the have a project running called "4 in 1", i.e. to get to the poole-position (#1) in four projects, and one of those is Correlizer. (BTW I like that idea - something for TAS?)
Anyhow: SETI.Germany has declared a "Notfalleinsatz" - Emergency action - to keep their 1st position.

This is great for the project - I hope Correlizer will keep up with the WUs.
This is also a fun way to race.

So I have - as a member of the TAC - "challenged" SETI.Germany in their "Notfalleinsatz"-thread. I have also invited them to post in our forum.

Please join!

Edit Nov. 26, 2011, 20:50 UTC:

The goal has been reached! Here is the proof!
Congrats all crunchers!

Well done!

This is my post at SETI.Germany.

Translation is OK at Google translate:

Dear SETI.Germany Crunchers,
Warm greetings from TeAm AnandTech!
We are all delighted that together we have here an inter-team competition! Or as we say in the team: Inter-team race.
Let's please drop all the locks and do the best. SETI.Germany is a much bigger team than TeAm AnandTech - but I think it is a wonderful competition.
I'll start in our forum a new "thread" (wire?, LoL) and you are welcome to visit us there! The forum software seems to be the same jag.
Our forum is here (linky removed).
So, warm greetings from TeAm AnandTech!

Petrusbroder

Please join the race.

SETI.Germany has more than 100 members, 82 of those are active.
TeAm AnandTech has 27 members and 26 active.
We need more people in this race!

Please join the SETI.Germany vs. TeAm AnandTech Race!

Here are the stats for today (from Correlizer):

The SETI.Germany's output is now greater than ours ... some more crunchers? Please?

Remember the ways:
to borgh, to asslaminate, to borrow, to persuade, to buy, to incorporate, to add ...
and then there are some more shady ways, but those are for more mature minds ... 😉

yay - unfortunately I have everything but the kitchen sink crunching correlizer already...

hopefully more crunchers will jump in!

opss - will keep it in mind. Just meant to be friendly.

bis bald.

OK, all my crunchers engaged: as of now 100 cores on the project. Some are slow (33 - 40 minutes for each ordinary WU) other s are much faster (20 minutes for each WU). Most run 24/7, approx 20 run approx 16 hours per day ...

Let us see if I can get over the 30K RAC and thus would ber #4 in RAC in Correlizer ...
LoL!
I have never before engaged all cores to one project ...

All my computers that can product any result within a reasonable amount of time are in the race. I have an old laptop and my wife's laptop that I'm thinking of adding. They aren't speed demons but anything helps I suppose. My i7 970 is still chugging along at F@H but I could always repurpose it in this "state of emergency". 😀

wow 100 cores! impressive.

I thought my 16 cores were something...lol.
They are something but 100 is just so much more impressive. 😀

awesome!

Well I would gladly exchange some of my AMD X2 5000+ and 5200+ and Intel C2D for something more efficient. I am doing this for the race, but the secondary thought is to heat the house since for us the winter has arrived (temps below 0ºC) and as many of you know, i use the comps to heat the house.
BTW, for those interested, I found the post here ...

I will attempt to get my work laptop to do some work for the TeAm. Last time I had it do some PrimeGrid work, it got a little too hot (with only one core).

I'll give it another go.

Welcome to the race Sunny129!
What about making this the main thread for the race and let the other thread slowly sink down the list ... 🙂

Correlizer has two main WU types---BioMedical Genome Correlations and Correlizer Beta Applications.

On my 1100T the difference in production time is about 3 minutes---14:30 vs 11:30.

To get the Beta WUs:

Go to your account on Correlizer
Select Correlizer preferences
Select Edit preferences
Check only the Beta applications
Check accept work from other applications

This will ensure that you get the faster WUs. But if none are available, you will still get work.

Note: I made this a separate thread for easier access. Sorry for double posting.

Here they are ...

Compared to previous stats (this morning)

Difference in TeAm's RAC: _____ 2 474
Difference in SG's RAC: _______ 5 579
Difference in TeAms credits: _ 81 847
Difference in SG's credits: __ 85 294

SG is really moving fast ... ok, lets try match that!

Got it, though I already downloaded a bunch of random WU's first.

@Peter: it is only 1:56 pm Sunday here in Texas, I'll update my x6 tomorrow at work.
