Alright, about 2 weeks ago a few of my friends bought this presentation called "The Secret". In typical infomercial form, it promised wealth, weight loss, women, etc. The typical "Spend $5 and your life will be so much better!"

I am always skeptical of this type of thing because it almost always turns out to be some small piece of useless information that you already know. My idiot friends bought it anyway. I didn't bother to waste my time watching it with them, but they really liked. They swear by it now and say how things seem to be falling in place with them. Objectively, I noticed they seemed more confident and that things were going a little bit better for them as a result.

I eventually broke down and agreed to view it. I just finished watching it and it actually wasn't a bad video. The production values are quite good and there are speeches by several professors who I know charge a hefty fee.

The jist of it is basically, "Positive thoughts lead to positive things". It's about 90 minutes long and there is some pretty interesting stuff in there. Of course it won't meet all the promises of the ad, but it was a good watch. I'd certainly recommend it for only $5.

I saw a post on another forum and most of the people there liked it too. I doubt most people here will pay for it though, so I found this link in that thread. It is basically a screen capture of someone playing the video. I would personally just pay the $5 to avoid the hassle and get a better quality video, but whatever. If I didn't post a DL link, I know I'd sound like I was advertising for them.

ah, so this is where you got all that amazing secret knowledge about women (that everyone on this forum already knew) you posted the other day?
 
No man, I just watched this today. It doesn't really focus on women. It's mainly trying to improve your lifestyle. Some of it sounds like BS, but there really is no downside to thinking postive, so why not? It could definately help as at least a confidence booster.

BTW, you really think everyone (especially on ATOT) knew those tips!? There was some good stuff in that thread, especially towards the bottom if you kept reading.

Ok pontifex, I have a friendly challenge for you. Since you say that my tips have been posted so much, simply find me 2 threads on AT where the poster mentions the same tips as I gave in my thread. I am not talking about the generic tips in the beginning either; I mean the good stuff about the backhanded compliments, phone-call guidelines, (not) paying for dates, etc. I'll assume you just skimmed over my thread since you probably don't need the advice too bad, but there is some golden info in there that you will not find anywhere else. I'll admit that some of it is common sense, but the majority of my tips go completely against your basic instincts.
 
Anything that has to do with FastSeduction will reference what you've mentioned. I've made a few posts about that myself. I wouldn't say the forum was flooded with this knowledge though. Most guys here are into being knights in shining armor. It was a good post you made.

That site is mainly directed towards canned openers and approaches which I clearly said do not work. You'll find my tips about being confident, looking your best, etc. just about everywhere, but that doesn't constitute claiming that I copied and pasted from a site I never even visited until today.

LOL. ok lets for the sake of argument say you didnt get it from that site......where did you get it from little boy?

p.s. canned openers do work.......pick up lines do not. and that site does not advocate pick uplines. Your phone tips are all covered in depth on that site. Your backhand compliment...is all over that site..they call it a neg. and everything else about building an attractive lifestyle and looking and feeling your best is again all covered in excruciating detail in the manual on that site. You didn't write that stuff. You lack the real world experience to have come to those conclusions on your own in a weeks time. Stop lying don juan.
 
I made that post using information gathered from many different sources. To be honest, I got some of the tips from reading some YAGT threads and viewing shows like Blind Date. Whenever I can, I try to see how the "cool" guys act around girls. I applied common sense and gave it a shot. An experience in lunch back in my sophomore year of high school also gave me some insight. I saw some nerdy ugly kid walk right up to the hottest girl in my grade to say Hi and ask her out. I was shocked when she said yes, but I saw that she respected the fact that he wasn't intimidated by her. I became really successful around women in a brief period of time so I shared what worked for me.

Nice try though gigapet, at least your post made me laugh a little. Your line about canned openers shows that you are the one without any experience. Stop fantasizing for a minute and try actually using one of these lines on a girl. Afterwards, tell me how long it is before she calls security or kicks you in the groin. But.... I am sure you are a huge player. I mean come on, you have over 9000 posts on AT and reply to every one of my posts within minutes.

Just because you are a middle aged man (that probably lives in his parent's basement) who reads pickup tips off of some site, you are not some expert on women. You don't become smooth by memorizing corny lines you read off the internet. I only tried one line that ever worked and I thought of it on the spot rather than frantically trying to remember what to say. Seeing as how you collect these openers, I'll share it with you.

Her: Thanks, I just got them.
Me: I think my sister is looking for a pair of those. Do you know if they come in women's sizes too?
