there's some other scream that is even more annoying....it sounds like a crowd of people gasping when something bad is about to happen on screen....I can't describe it....but I hate it.

Theres another real common 'scream' sound effect I've noticed in a bunch of things -- I think it was used for "falling off a really tall thing" in Doom or Duke Nukem 3D, and I've caught it in a number of other games and movies. Sort of a "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah" effect.

you're right....I know what you're talking about on that one too. I think it's been on a bunch of Mountain Dew commercials.
