I thought this was neat, although not really science, it is true that it just can't be innate, or something you're born with.
Personally, I'm not religious, but I believe in karma and depending on the situation, omens.

It's the "psychology of luck", and this is a well-documented psychological fact. For example, millionaires - few millionaires get rich by accident. However, if you say to yourself, twice a day, "I'm going to be a millionaire", your mind will naturally be focused on money - and opportunities to make it. You will naturally end up finding opportunities for money-making. (I've seen this in my own life, actually)

Yep, like what you're talking about... the subconscious will try harder to make already existing opportunities more visible.. things you otherwise wouldn't necessarily notice.

I try to take the approach of looking at how things could have been worse, but I am not all that lucky. Hmm, maybe if I tell myself every day I am lucky I will be?
