Azusa Pacific is a private Christian college. As long as they take no government money they can make the rules as they wish regarding religion.

Make no mistake, they are dead serious in their beliefs. If you aren't a Christian you won't be happy there.

Sign their silly thing after 2 months of pretending, have a nervous break down and tell them that you need counsoling because you've taken up drinking.

and then sue them for Discrimination.

Damn, I guess coma people are out. Well, I guess they're not really employable first off, but still, that's discriminatory. SUE!!!

Hey at least you got a letter saying they were interested.

A few months ago I got a letter stating that after reviewing my resume they had decided I was unqualified for the opening.\

The best part was I did not apply for any job with them.

They pulled my resume off monster and then decided I wasn't qualified.

Those @$$holes!

you could sue them unsder some of those right-to-work laws prohibiting discimination. You could definitely have a case just by arguing that your beliefs are unrelated to the position and therefore prerequiring christian sysadmins is discrimination

Take the job... it's more than likely good money even if you have to pretend about your religious beliefs.

Besides... it's always fun to listen to bible thumpers tell you every time they were able to wake up in the morning Jesus Christ was by their side helping them.😀

well, i agree....if you need the money...you must do anything to get it....money is the absolute no. 1 priority in our capitolistic society

Imagine signing one of those when you GO to college.

I did! 😀

Actually it is a very good school. If you think about it, the school wants to do one thing primarily - glorify and worship God. If they have people working for them that don't want that, it will hurt the whole school.

Hmm... If this is something that must be done do get employment at Asusa Pacific Univ., I guess it would be the same to be admitted to their academic programs. Just one question: Would this be the same for many private, religious schools like BYU (for example)?

Oh, good luck in the new job and just keep looking for new and possibly better opportunities.

please, where i worked for the summer they listened to christian music on the radio. it was only till noon or 1pm, but those hours were tough. i couldnt stand the songs and constant messages... and i'm catholic! no way you could work in an environment like that if you're not 100% into it. kinda freaky tho i agree

Religion has a positive effect in the lives of many people on this planet and I think it's sad so see people bash it for no good reason. If you don't agree, don't work there. If you don't like religion, don't participate. But keep in mind that there are certainly things that each of us do in our lives that other people would probably look down on. How about a little tolerance for the choices people make in this world?

Oh and for the record, I was confirmed Catholic but I stopped attending church when I was 16. Some members of my family are very religious but most are not. I'm much too educated to believe in a silly old God.

How about a little tolerance for the choices people make in this world? how does the statement 'silly old God' support your 'tolerance'???

Although there may be a relationship between education and decreased following of religion, you can surely admit that there are many notable and highly intellectual characters in history who were devout followers.

Yes, private schools can expell you much easier than public schools can. BYU for example is very strict about no smoking, no drinking, and no premarital sex....even no caffeine! Students know what they are signing up for when they enroll at these schools.

Same goes for employees of the schools.

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior Spirit who reveals Himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms of my idea of God." - Albert Einstein
