Inspired by the saddest movie thread, what musical piece invokes sadness/somber emotion when you listen to it?

Would prefer instrumental pieces, like Schindler's List Violin Theme, but I suppose any piece of music will do.

Always considered the violin the most "emotional" instrument out there. Just really capable of hitting those notes that can make you tear up (if I wasn't a macho, non-girly man that drinks tiger piss for breakfast... rawr).

i don't listen to any kind of this music on my own spare time or anything so don't know any names of them, but the intro to The Pacific gives me goosebumps and makes me feel emotional everytime i hear it.

also, the music in parts of Braveheart for some reason gets me, with that flute sounding instrument, like when his wife dies.

also any really nice piano play can make me feel sad because it makes me think of my dad who died a couple years ago and could play the piano better than anybody i ever met.

Few songs from Last of the Mohegans, Braveheart, The Fountain, and the final song from Gladiator. Also ATB - Obsession. Others might not find this song all that sad, but this song was playing when I found out that my grandpa passed away. So now this song always makes me sad
