The Royal Wedding

Will any of you be watching?

Me? I would rather spend that time out in the garage beating my thumb with a three pound hammer. So, NO!

Be honest, now; we can tell you're absolutely riveted waiting to see Kate's dress...

...and dying to see if you can find it in your size...

Waste of time, money and thought.

The only people that care about princesses are too busy playing tea time with their dolls.

I will look at the pictures online and maybe a video or two.

But watch it live? Unless I happen to be home and up at the moment it happens and can find it on the net then no.

Well I sure as hell don't care. People marry all the time. Just because the media wants something to matter doesn't mean it does.

I suppose if you believe in celebrity and royalty, believe in elevating others above yourself, then they would mean something.

Absolutely not. Why would I want to watch something that represents British gender and religious discrimination? It's absolutely ridiculous that the British people actually worship this family as if they are Gods.

Let the inbred family's son and his fiance get married on their own and without the support of the state and the peasants.

Don't know either one, and don't care.

Why would anyone care about any kind of "royal" wedding in this day and age?

No. The wedding is a crime against humanity.

It's also interesting how the peasants are told to live in a new era of austerity, but the children of an inbred family can continue to live in government-paid opulence and have extravagant weddings. And of course the peasants don't even question the crackdown on their civil rights as the police crush any dissent to the wedding.

Why should I get worked up either way, we have an a long standing ally in England, and since the wedding is a big deal in England why should I alternately jump up and down and say poo poo. And therefore dope slap England for being frivolous while alienating people for being a doubting Thomas.

After all the future is yet unknown, Kate and whatever royal prince, is it Edward or maybe Phillip, may end up being a force for future good or evil.

Its just the nature of being of royal birth, they achieve a certain innate fame by birth while others have to make it on merit. But once they do the dirty deed sin of matrimony, then like everyone else they have to make it on merit.

You guys know that there's a credible argument to be made that the British royal family brings in more money through increased tourism than they spend on upkeep, right? Things like that are hard to measure of course, but it doesn't seem that implausible to me. People love those idiots for some inexplicable reason.

Merit plays no part with the "royals", only who your father, mother or spouse is.

Imagine the increase in tourism if all of the royal residences and collections were opened up to the public. Tourism would probably increase.

Moreover, tourism is pretty popular at royal palaces (Versailles) that don't have the government propping up an inbred family.

Finally, it's just freaking pathetic if the British are willing to put themselves into a peasant caste system for tourism.

That's what happens when you worship an inbred human being as if she were a God, similar to early humans worshiping the Sun as a deity.

I wonder if the European Court of Human Rights has jurisdiction over an issue such as this...they probably won't do anything about it because Europe is a complete joke when it comes to human rights.
