Right.....for No Way Out....then he'll be here until WM before he goes off and shoots more movies. So whether or not the article about him turning full time actor is true or not (Smolek is pretty knowledgeable about this stuff, moreso than myself) he'll still be leaving to produce more "quality" acting roles.
 
god, 1wrestling is such a terrible site. How many popups can they possibly have?

I don't see a problem with him acting. Wrestling is a fad that has already passed its prime, the 2nd time around. I don't know if it will hit a 3rd period of popularity. Regardless, Rock has his life to think about. He needs something to sustain him until he's ready to retire, and wrestling will NOT do that. A: it's too hard on the body and B: it's popularity is waning. Unless he wants to become a washed up Jake the Snake or Brutus Beefcake, he needs to branch out into something else.

Actually there is a chance of that happening. Both sides have met and discussed terms but no offer has been made yet.

Yep. I don't see why it'd be The Rock vs Goldberg though - it should be Austin vs Goldberg - Goldberg was just a bad "clone" of Austin

You're apparently using a heretofore unknown definition of the word "actor". The only competent acting The Rock ever did was when he conviced some brain-dead producer that he could act. Watching his drivel makes me long for someone with a wider dramatic range, like Steven Segal or Pauly Shore.

Oh, he was a Master Thespian in the Scorpion King. I mean, he was <sarcasm>great </sarcasm> Who cares anymore? Wrestling (WWF) lost it's edge about a year ago. Rock is a non-entity.
 
I'm assuming NWO marks his debut. They had those promos running for him yesterday, possibly will run them as well on Smackdown, guessing they'll run it until NWO - Vince will "make" a decision on Bischoff running RAW or something, you hear glass break and you see Stunners fly everywhere 🙂
 
kinda makes me wish i still followed wrestling...
but the rock is highly entertaining. i think he'll make a great action star (i see him as a villain for some reason, though)

The Rock has purchased the rights to his name from WWE. However, a complete agreement hasn't been made between both parties.

Goldberg was spotted at the set of Helldorado. Apparently Rock showed Goldberg around and introduced him to the staff working on the movie.

The Rock will return back to action as a heel and will wrestle Hulk Hogan at WWE: No Way Out. As things stand right now, it's likely that this match will be confirmed later this week. The finish to this match will be Vince McMahon interfering and costing Hogan the match. Rock will help McMahon, going back to the heel character he portrayed in McMahon's "Corporation" stable years back. This will then lead up to McMahon vs. Hogan match at WWE: WrestleMania 19.

Word has it that Rock will face Goldberg at WrestleMania 19. However, keep in mind that Goldberg has still not signed a deal with WWE.

Lastly, Rock will be leaving WWE after WrestleMania 19. However, he did go on to mention that if his movie career slowed down, he'd return back to WWE. The Rock hasn't confirmed this with WWE, but also hasn't agreed to appear in any WWE events past March/April.

 
You guys do realize that "The Rock" is a fictional character don't you? Boycotting any movies made by The Rock because he left the WWE would be like boycotting any Captain Jean-Luc Piccard movies because he left Starfleet. Come back to reality please. From some of the post here, you guys are sounding like a bunch of jilted girls who's boyfriends just left them.

"The Rock" is a name that people associate Dwayne Johnson with. Try selling a movie with "Dwayne Johnson" vs "The Rock". Go back to your pokemon threads @$$hat.
