the roaring '20s

i am trying to talk (not type, so dont pull my card) completely in the style of the 1920s. it is really hard. even my grandparents cannot help me out with the lingo. i tried this in middle school and all i got from it was a lot less friends. its dangerous, but someone has to do it.

You're quite an idiot, sonny. Now go to the speakeasy and get me some moonshine, boy!

Maybe watch some old movies on AMC and such? It can be pretty funny, they used to call detectives d!cks and 'gay' meant something far more innocent... "He was such a gay d!ck!" and lines like it, said dead-pan serious, can really get me going 😀

lol....that was exactly what i was hoping everyone would do....make up your own 1920's statements.....its fun and burns calories!

So "hey dick, I'm all wet, why don't you butt me" actually means "hey detective, I guess I was wrong, could you spare a cigarette?"
