Did anyone notice that memory price has been rising in the last 6 month?? I remember buying 1gig registered pc133 from crucial for only $190....
I thought about upgrading to 2 gig now, and I found out that the price has almost trippled, $490.... **@@##* Man I should have bought all the memory I needed back then. Does anyone know why is this happening?? When will it drop again like 6 months ago??

Post your comment about this !

Apparently prices will continue to rise as well (according to Anandtech news recently).

What do you need over a gig for? (What do you need a gig for?! I hope not just for one system...)

<< Did anyone notice that memory price has been rising in the last 6 month?? >>

Are you serious? 🙂

<< Does anyone know why is this happening?? >>

Because the low prices over the past however long have driven memory manufactures out of business and the remaining ones (namely Samsung Electronics and Hynix Semiconductor) have been pulling together to continue raising prices.

Probably never.

6 months from now you will probably be saying you should have bought your 2 gigs of RAM for $490.00 because that would have been a bargain!

yeah, last week I posted a thread about how it cost $107 for a stick of crucial 256MB PC2100 and I payed $29.92 for mines. My thread got locked before anyone could post............

o well, these prices are outrageous!
