You are right, YOU have cited Newsmax many times on here. And many times, they have been proven to be less than credible by either giving misleading information, not quoting any sources or just plain out twisting the story to be something that it isn't.

Thanks for playing :D NewsMax has been cited by others as well.

Once again, where is any kind of EVIDENCE OR PROOF that Gore had stock in Oxy and was profiting as much as you say. I'm sure that, as a private citizen now, he has a pretty diversified portfolio. But as VP, he released his financial statements and tax returns. Why don't you try to find a reputable source citing those as their basis for the claim that Gore was making a killing from Oxy while VP and not some Newsmax half-truth-spin-to-make-the-left-look-bad piece of OPINION piece.

Here Are The Gore Follies

There's some nice Occidental information about half way through.

The Clinton reference was a joke based on your history of seemingly always bringing him into threads about Bush where he has no place in. If you notice, I made a reference to you bringing in Clinton, then realizing that you were trying to do that same thing with Gore instead. But your old habit just got in the way. Boy....jokes sure do lose a lot when you have to explain them to people that just don't get them.

I brought Gore and Occidental to light, mainly to refute Dave's ridiculous "Republicans Are Oil Barons" nonsense he spouts on a near-daily basis. But seeing as how quite a few here seem to agree with Dave (at least on this point) it is only fair to hear "the other side of the story". Or do you enjoy only hearing the side that benefits your cause?

From your link:

However, Gore did not purchase the shares and did not have control over the estate with which to sell them. [/quote]

Good try, you used a source that isn't your usual partisan stuff.

Edit to ask a question: Do you even read what you post?

Gore was appointed executor of his late father's estate, which gives him the control and right to exercise it. Do a little looking around and you'll find that statement is wrong.

And yes, I do read what I link. Just because I don't agree with every word or sentence in it doesn't stop me from posting it.
