The return of the Life of Brian

BRIAN:
No. No, please! Please! Please listen. I've got one or two things to say.
FOLLOWERS:
Tell us. Tell us both of them.
BRIAN:
Look. You've got it all wrong.
You don't need to follow me. You don't need to follow anybody! You've got to think for yourselves. You're all individuals!
FOLLOWERS:
Yes, we're all individuals!
BRIAN:
You're all different!
FOLLOWERS:
Yes, we are all different!
DENNIS:
I'm not.
ARTHUR:
Shhhh.
FOLLOWERS:
Shh. Shhhh. Shhh.
BRIAN:
You've all got to work it out for yourselves!
FOLLOWERS:
Yes! We've got to work it out for ourselves!
BRIAN:
Exactly!
FOLLOWERS:
Tell us more!
BRIAN:
No! That's the point! Don't let anyone tell you what to do! Otherwise-- Ow! No!
MANDY:
Come on, Brian. That's enough. That's enough.
FOLLOWERS:
Oooooh. That wasn't a minute!
MANDY:
Oh, yes, it was.
FOLLOWERS:
Oh, no, it wasn't!
MANDY:
Now, stop that, and go away!
YOUTH:
Excuse me.
MANDY:
Yes?
YOUTH:
Are you a virgin?
MANDY:
I beg your pardon!
YOUTH:
Well, if it's not a personal question, are you a virgin?
MANDY:
'If it's not a personal question'?
How much more personal can you get? Now, piss off!
[slam]
YOUTH:
She is.
FOLLOWERS:
Yeah. Must be. She is. Definitely...
CROWD:
Ooh. Oh! Oooh...
[clunk]

umm, they are gonna piss off allot of people by making that movie

They aren't remaking it, they are rereleasing it.

so, its gonna be the same as the old one?

Rainbow president Henry Jaglom said: "We decided this is an important time to re-release this film, to provide some counter-programming to The Passion."

He said the surviving members of the Monty Python comedy team "all agreed this was a good time" to bring back the film and would help promote it.

Looks like it.

"All I said was 'This halibut is good enough for Jehovah!"
-Sir you're only making this worse for yourself.
"I'm going to be stoned to death! How could it get any worse? Jehovah! Jehovah! Jehovah!"

Sounds like a shameless attempt to capitalize on another movie's success.

<sarcasm>

Shameless? Monty Python? Say it aint so!

</sarcasm>

This would be sooooooooooooo fun to see on the big screen!

this is like little kids throwing dirt on some other kid's painting. except this time, it's to "spoof intolerance"?

I'm going to have to roll my eyes at the judgment of the group, although I enjoy their humor.

what's wrong with that?
Whats wrong is claiming otherwise. I don't really care by the way.
I love Monty Python, including this movie. I also think this project will fail because Python's humor is all but lost on mainstream America.

Doesn't sound like they are claiming otherwise... I mean, the advertisements are going to say "Mel or Monty" etc...

I sure hope not, I know I'll be going to see it along with quite a few of my friends, but sadly it may be true that mainstream America's sense of humor just doesn't relate to Monty Python.
