Greed is NOT good. It's ruining the world. Always has.

Who knows if the movie will be good.

I heard about this about a year or two ago...that there would be a sequel. I can't wait.

"Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy? It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around pal, I've still got a lot to teach you."

Fuck I can't believe this shit. This is going to be so bad. Even the trailer sucks and you can make any trailer look good. I've been hearing some news about it for a while now and once they cast LaBouf at the star I was so disappointed.

I'm game. I loved the first one. The trailer doesn't look the most promising in the world and will likely wait until it hits DVD. I don't think it's worth paying $50 to go see but I'll rent it on release day.

The kid looks like he's 12, this is gonna be a fail (unless he's playing a summer intern or something.. in which case it will still be a fail)
Yeah, I don't know why they cast him, should have cast ME instead. But I still think that Douglas will deliver.

Hmm, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin. Big fan of both. :hmm: I'll have to check out some reviews though, before I decide whether to actually watch it or not.

I was apprehensive, but think this is going to be good. Shia is actually a decent actor when he's not in dumb action movies, and I really really like Michael Douglas, although my all-time-favorite performance of his in 'Wonder Boys' isn't likely to be matched here. He was also stellar in 'King of California', but nobody seems to have seen that film. It has Evan Rachel Wood as well, win!

Regardless, we still benefit. Also, they mention this in the film.
"It's a zero sum game, somebody wins and somebody loses. Money isn't made or lost, it's simply transferred from one perception to the next".

Only problem with that is the derivatives market (ESPECIALLY THE OTCs) has broken that model.

Money is created out of thin air due to deception/perception of value (money 'made'), and the leveraging in this area is so huge that it can literally destroy national economies if it jumps the tracks, which basically eliminates the value of the currency along with it (money 'lost').

I liked Shia in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Most everything else I thought he was horrible.

I've had King of California on my list for a long time, but it never seems to get delivered to me. :hmm:

Decent Shia performances :

The Battle of Shaker Heights
Holes
Constantine (small)
Bobby
Disturbia (he was about goofy/awkward enough for the role, and it didn't seem unnatural)
AGTRYS

Other than that though, yeah he's not a welcome presence. He was particularly bad in Eagle Eye and Indy.

I guess Transformers was so bad your subconcious mind completely blocked that one out huh?

Well, you expect Transformers to be a big loud dumb action movie, and in context he's not really a big deal. His performance certainly wasn't the greatest thing ever, but I'm sure as it was written no actor alive could have made the role great. He didn't have to carry the film as he was really just a plot device.

He was a critical component to making either Eagle Eye or Indy4 a worthwhile experience, and in both cases he fell short.

I"m pretty sure Oliver Stone will not disappoint in making himself look like a ri'tard and a hypocrite.

Eh? Whether or not you care for his films, I don't think anything he's done has been retarded or hypocritical.

If anything, he cherry-picks and overstates plainly obvious things with his films, but that's nothing new.
