THE REGGIE BUSH BOWL IS HERE!!!

Aren't the saints legit contenders for Bush at the moment as well (assuming they lose to the bucs, which I guess isn't such a sure thing)?

Yes, they are. But the Texans control their destiny. They lose, and at 2-14, they will be the only team with that mark.

if charlie casserly somehow remains in the front office until then, and the texans have the #1 overall pick, then they must take bush. if someone else, who has some skill at being a GM is the GM, then i could trust them to trade it for a pick in the top 5, plus a 2nd rounder this year and another 2nd rounder next year.

regardless, they need to focus on improving one side of the ball. if its offense, sign carr to his extension, get bush, pick up linemen with the next two rounds and maybe a free agent (but please do more than call the head janitor of the team the guy plays for as your 'investigation'). if its defense, trade down, get aj hawk, two linemen in the 2nd, etc.

Even if the Ain'ts end up with the 1st pick, they will likely trade out of it. Benson doesnt want to spend the money and they dont need Bush, they do need Lienart, but Benson doesnt want to spend the money for a #1 pick.

I'm not against trading DD for some line help, either. I also would not mind signing and trading Carr for line help. Pick up a scrub QB, like McCown out of AZ, and I don't think that you lose too much on that side of the ball.

actually the 49ers were eliminated from getting the #1 pick when the Giants beat the Raiders yesterday.. The best they can do now is the #2 pick which is also unlikely.

The Texans are the favorites to get Bush, but the Saints and the Jets are making it close.

All the 3 win teams are winning except New Orleans. If things stay like this then a Texans wins gives NO the number 1. San Fran still has an outside shot at the number 1 I think, but NO has to pull out their game today.

The New Orleans Saints will bumble, stumble fumble their way to stinkdom . Their owner Tom Benson is a clueless ass clown who richly deserves what he has . They could get every top player for the next ten years and still assend to a level of suckness that no other team can ever hope for .

i don't know that many teams would take carr at what he'll be making if the texans sign him. he'll be in the top 10.

of course, maybe if 1) they had an offensive line, and 2) they let carr run the offense, then maybe he is a top 10 qb?

Niners are looking absolutely horrible. They're not going to break 100 total yards in this game .
