well, good news TeAm SETI, i've brought another computer online for the cause. well, more accurately, my friend troy has. i assimilated troy's machine into my little herd a couple weeks ago, and he just assimilated his roommate's pc. that brings my group's herd up to 5 pc's cracking 24/7 and ~14 others cracking about 10 hours a day. we're all under the name Tetsuo. along with assimilating troy, i also got him hooked on the forums, and he signed up today as garkman. because he's been a big help to the team (what with an athlon gig and duron 600 cracking 24/7 for us) i want to welcome him to our team even though he doesn't have his own seti user info.

Thanks for getting me hooked on all of this jeff, it was bad enough spending 3 hours a day reading news @ anand, hardocp, toms and others, but now I have to spend another 3 hours a day in the darn forums. I must figure out some revenge...anyone have ideas, send 'em my way.

your best revenge would be to get all your other friends to run seti also. Its best just to pass the misery😎 along to as many people as you can, then sit back and enjoy. After all someone did it to you 😎

what is this seti team? refering to seti@home? i use this program ... all day...wondering if i could get in on this group thing...does it benefit anyone for a particular reason?
i tried joining team anandtech yesterday for rc5 but never received my pw....still waiting...
 
Hey Losty, yes we run seti@home and are members of Team AnandTech. Seti has teams that compete against each other just like RC5 and OGR does.🙂

There are many benefits to being a member of this team. In my opinion the two biggest assets of this team are the stats (check out the links in my sig) and the people who make up this team. The guys here are great. They'll gladly help you out with any problem and will not flame you if you post something a little off topic in here. There's a much stronger feel of frienship in the DC forum than in any other forum on AnandTech. Just read some of the threads in here and you'll see what I mean🙂

anyone know of a way to quiet down my computer...i leave it on at nite...no problem...but i share a room...don't want to be a bother...even though my roomate hasn't confronted me...i think it's bothering him...

err ,I'm not sure that taking out all your case fans is a good idea! ,are the bearings in the cpu fan ok? ,are you getting any kind of groaning resonating noise?
