If you have these problems, you'll have the same problems on a vertical touchpad. Clickie buttons for scrolling are usually fail, too...

Is the scrolling speed not adjustable?

I haven't used my iPod in a few years, but I remember having this trouble a few times, but it really wasn't that bad.

There's infinitely better reasons not to own one. That one is just lame.

There's only one reason not to own an iPod; the iPhone. You probably think there are better music players out there, well, zerocool84, you are wrong. Everyone knows this.

Basically

2 new iphones = 2 retired ipods

Because you couldn't select the song before or after it, then use the track skip buttons to get to the song you wanted. :)

But yeah, never really had that issue.

Yea, I've always hated the clickwheel garbage.

Zune had some great buttons, very easy to use while driving.

iPhone has a great interface on the music player, but have you ever tried to use a touch screen while driving? No thanks.

Edit:

Doesn't work if you have shuffle on.

iPhones touch screen via PocetTouch kills any buttoned player. On a button player I still have to find the buttons and feel around to get my baring. With PocketTouch I touch anywhere on the screen and swipe right for next track, left for previous track. Up for volume up, down for volume down. Double tap to play/pause. I believe the Zune HD copied this (smart on their part) It makes using the touch screen while driving far easier than anything else I've ever used.

You can use voice commands to play music with an iPhone.

Funny. If this had been about a Mac I would have been all over it in agreement but despite my dislike of Apple as a company overall, I have to give them their dues. The iPod and the iPhone are truly wonderful products for the most post. I own an iPod touch.
