Also large minority populations.

Occam's Razor strikes again.

Only when you're using it to cut your own throat.

If large minority populations meant voting for Obama, then every place south of the Mason-Dixon line should have gone Democrat, along with much of the West-

The funny part is how you like to group it by red/blue state.

I wonder how things would look if you instead broke it down by red/blue voter? Which is really the much more relevant question.

EDIT:

His view is based on a distortion of the nature of federal tax dollars and who that money actually belongs too. That is to say that he uses the fallacy that the states own this money and are owed this money when in reality that money is owed and owned by the individual US citizens who reside in that state and are tax at federal level no matter where they live in the US. Being that no one is permanently tied down to live in a specific state throughout the course of their lives these federal tax dollars are transient in nature and state governments have no ownership over this money period which is rightfully money owed to the individual and not to any state period if it were to be paid out to anyone in general.

No thats not the reason Big cities have gone dem . The reason is greed and selfish these big cities all have large poor populations the reason cities go dem. Is to use other cities monies rather than to take care of its own . Than the cities start looking to the states and After the poor have gone threw their states money . Than these big population states steal other states money . When I was a child our whole school system was state and city run . NO gooberment our house taxes were for Schools a our car linceses were for road repair . Than the gooberment federal jumped in and destroyed it all for 10 horriable states. That have brought us to extinction
Ignorance must be bliss.....your rear end still smarting from losing huh???

The hilarious part of your inane rambling is that rural red states take in more tax money than they pay out compared to blue states and guess which type of states typically have the biggest cities and which states have more rural populations?

I was just thinking about this statement... I assume you're talking about the white trash 1965 single-wide trailer dweller with 11 kids and 18 rifles, and I can see it. I grew up around that sort of thing, heck I think some of my family has skewed the numbers upward on that type of person. BUT, here's my serious question (I feel like you might know the answer)

Does the tax money that the red states are 'taking more in' of cover things like farm subsidies? I'm not being a smart ass here, I've been around alot of farmers for the last 8 years and their operating costs on average start at low 7 figures (i mean real farmers with 8000+ acreas), and their subsidies are HUGE. My company routinely gets grants for them for $50k plus annually and that's only to offset the cost of 'going green' with their utilities. When you get into grain and cattle money, you start talking insane figures. Now, I don't think they need 4 new 1-ton Duramax 4x4's every other year, but it's a high-risk endeavor and I suppose they could spend their earnings on chocolate covered airplanes if they wanted. Also, every time I eat a bowl of fruity pebbles or a 30 oz porterhouse I think it's tax money well spent.

Does anyone know the answer?

I think the hilarious part of your inane rambling is that by your logic a blue state is responsible for the financial melt down of 2008.

Maybe if blue states were not crashing the economy red states wouldn't need so much federal tax money?
you are so funny...just own up to it....this mess was started by your beloved Republicans....rofl..hahaha

Then only argument I see against these charts is that 0.058% of a 500,000+ populated urban county is still alot more people than 0.188% of a county of 22,000 people... about 29,000 to 4136 I suppose. It's kinda like how those red/blue county maps look like 80% of the U.S. should be republicans, when it's actually around 50/50.
I'd say those maps don't tell the whole story.

Maybe people that live in cities are more educated and open to ideas.
Open to change.
Realize the world isn't made up of only white heterosexuals.
Thus democrat and progressive.
Where as the farmer has only his sheep to listen to while in the heat of love making.
Surely the farmer isn't talking to the wife. Or having sex with her, for that matter.
If you're a farmer, you know what I mean....

LOL. This is good propaganda. "The men with the most land no longer wield power the most power".

The men with the most land are also the kind of men who own and control the media, and the media is the only reason people like you support Barack Obama. Obama has been craftily marketed to you as a savior of the poor and downtrodden by the very same wealthy landowners you think have no power. They basically dictated their choice for president to you and made you think it was your choice. It wasn't your choice. Almost all the information you had to go on with regard to Obama, and the public perception of his image, was filtered to you through the controlled, corporate media.

You've been bamboozled, pal, just like most of America has. But it's not your fault. You've been trained to let the TV do your thinking for you.

You act like the game changed. It's always been about marketing and smear campaigns and image. Perception is everything. The GOP had an equal responsibility to present their candidate in whatever light necessary to win the election.

Instead you spent 4 years fighting against policies that at least APPEAR to benefit the poor, blacks, and Latinos; you announce that these people (47%) are too stupid to understand politics and then said they took bribes to vote for Obama, and on top of that you trot out freaking Mitt Romney, who is the quintessential "Good Ole Boy" Republican.
Instead of embracing the new wave of American voters, you circled the wagons and got overrun.

When being honest with yourselves I would think Republicans would see (maybe not admit) that their party needs a complete overhaul. As a party you failed to grasp that most NEW voters will never vote Republican regardless of what you say because of your outdated image and philosophies. They won't even hear what you say until you show them dramatic change.
The GOP has never shaken that persisting stigma of the racist white southerner of the Civil Rights era; a good ole boys club where fat old white men drink cognac, smoke fat cigars, and make huge secret deals to control the poor and minorities with all their money and influence. If anything that image has been dramatically reinforced over the last 4 years.
Of course Dems also have fat old white people making secret deals, but image is everything.

Instead of immediately working to revamp that image, the GOP makes it worse by declaring that Obama again only won because voters are too stupid to see through him.

Like it or not, America's voting demographic is changing dramatically and it's now the GOP elitists who find themselves on the wrong side of the tracks.
Nos vemos en el 2016.

I've always thought it correlated strongly with religiosity. In a city, you're surrounded by man's accomplishments; God is less visible. In the countryside, you're in God's country. You're more self-reliant. Nothing is quite so certain, and the police aren't just around the corner.

I wonder why women and minorities lean democratic. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with GOP policies? :hmm:

Lol at the media still trying to paint the Republicans as anything but statist central planners who think they know how to best live your life. No difference between them and the D's, they just want to go about stealing from and controlling us in slightly different ways.
