There is a baseball card set from 2004 called Leaf Limited. Randy Johnson has three different cards from this set, and each of those three have a variation of which only one was produced. So in essence, only ONE exists of each of the three diff. Randy Johnson cards. They were randomly distributed in packs of cards.
I have ALL THREE of them.
Did you buy them as a set or are you just a lucky mofo?
I bought them all separately, as collectors opened packs and found them. One came from a guy in PA; another from Canada and the third I bought from a guy in CA. I paid about $300 for each one; however as they are the "only" ones they don't really have a value at all unless I sell them. Only then will they have a value, but as of now they are priceless because they are not for sale and therefore it's not possible for anyone to acquire one. (or three).
I'm sure I could sell the set of three for far, far more than I paid for them individually, but I'll never sell them.
