The Radeon 7850 is an overclocking beast

Took the plunge and got a Sapphire 7850 from Amazon--in stock on May 9th. (Just didn't like the look of the Asus 7850 with the fan shroud extending way over the edge). Will cancel and order MSI 7850 power edition if it is released in the interim.

Either way, I'm getting a 7850 before D3 releases on the 15th. ()🙂

Who cares how it looks. What you should care about is how it cools

Does it make sense to overclock ur gpu if you have not overclocked your cpu.
Few days back i have build a i7 2600k system, and haven't overclocked it yet, might even not. Was wondering it would be of any good by oc'ing the gpu. I have ordered an ASUS DCII HD 7850, which is on its way.

Why did you buy a K model if you don't plan on overclocking it?

The Asus 7850's are back in stock (10+) at NCIX and Direct Canada

ordered a 2nd Asus 7850 🙂

Crossfiring sooner than planned due to curiosity.

How decent of an OC is possible on this card (asus) before having to mess with voltage?

Just got mine put in yesterday and I want to bump it up a bit but i'd rather not have to bump voltage as well, as much as I can get out of stock would be good.

1150c/1375m on stock voltage

I was playing with MVP today. 1100 core, 1375 mem

the two really have nothing to do with each other unless one is a bottleneck. its going to come down to the individual game, resolution and settings being used to determine how effective overclocking either will be.

Yes it does as a 2600k isn't a bottleneck. Also just set your multi on 40c

The stock mem clock on mine is 4840, i'm supposed to downclock it to 1375? I've never OCed a gpu before so maybe i'm looking at the wrong thing or just confused.. pardon my newbness.
