Talking about directx 10 reviews I am surprised that futuremark doesn't have a dx10 3dmark out yet, or at least a release saying it is due out soon, while its debatable what if anything 3dmark has to do with "Real world" benchmarks it still can be useful and they usualy are good at taking full advantage of new hardware. I kind of expected them to have something for vista's launch, though I guess they might want to wait till ati/amd has parts out, but even that is no longer and issue so where is it?

I heard that only between 25% to 33% of the G80 Die is dedicated only to DX10 functionality. So may be that's why it performs so great in DX9, but how it will perform in DX10? May be in DX10 is where the R600 will shine, but is useless if at the time that DX10 gets widely used, both will be too slow to run it probably. I'm pretty sure that the DX10 adoption will be far more slower than the DX9 adoption. Going to DX9 when it debuted was easy. Buy a DX9 videocard, install the DX9 runtime and that's it. But in DX10, buy a Windows Vista, make sure your PC is capable to run it (Additional investment), buy a DX10 card and pray to make sure the drivers are stable enough!!
