The Military Industrial Complex was a good scapegoat for all of the big govt nanny staters who try to point towards Eisnhowers speech nearly 50 years ago when the military consumed far larger %'s of our gdp and budget as some red herring to stop all military spending. It is funny because many of them havent realized they are simply a different side of the same coin by erecting an even larger social industrial complex. These people enabled an industry to consume over a trillion in wealth from avg America in just a few short months.

yup, they are group of people whose greed knows no bounds. They are so greedy that they occasionally destroy themselves. But, it's ok because they have the goverment in their pockets to bail them out.

My sense is that Congress has had it with TARP, and doesn't plan more. The big spending by Obama is not TARP, it's the 'stimulus package' and a very different program.

Unfortunately, I have suspicions about continuing excessive influence of the financial industry within the administration.

People seem to be very naive, that the liberals complaining about the corporate corruption of the political system is just hot air, not something that's real.

I don't know if we should nationalized the banks or not, but I do agree that the banks have too much influence in Washington.
