Oh dear gawd....that guy is about as muscular as an anorexic chick.....

Arnold might have made a bad ass Punisher in his heyday.....he fit the profile perfectly.....bad ass steel gaze.....muscular body. Even Vin Diesel or The Rock would have made a better Punisher than this tool

Thomas Jane is gonna have to gain some muscle for the movie... the punisher should have black hair... the costume in the pic I saw sucks, it should be leather or something I am sure it will look better for the movie though. I can't wait to see this one, and its a marvel movie so its guaranteed to be good.

They might look the role, but they can't act. To save. Their lives.

Seriously.

As I recall, the Punisher wasn't much of a talker anyway in the comics. They can't act to you but they're pretty convincing to others. They're hardly Broadway caliber performers but they can hold their own. In the same regard, Hugh Jackman isn't that good based off his performances in the two X-Men movies.

What are you talking about? Jackman was an incredibly convincing Wolverine.

Acting isn't just about vocalization - Something that people often forget when they rag on Keanu Reeves.

Acting is also about facial expressions, about body language, how the character moves, little tiny subconscious visual clues that heighten the effect of the scene without us even realizing it.

Jackman not only had the voice, he had the DEMEANOR. He WAS Wolverine.

Neither Diesel nor the Rock have any shred of acting integrity. They're big, muscular guys who are called on when Hollywood needs someone to play a big, dumb, hunk of flesh as the lead in a mindless summer blockbuster.

Rollins is actually a damn fine actor - People often pigeonhole him as a musician, but he's also a poet, a writer, and a more than decent actor. He was probably the most convincing person in Mneumonic (which isn't saying much ;-)

He played the role well. His acting wasn't that great. He has an accent, that's about the extent of his marvelous acting skills. That's funny that you called The Rock or Diesel to play a "hunk of flesh as the lead in a mindless summer blockbuster". Might as well have called X2 "Wolverine and the Gang".

Oh before you say it - I'm not saying Rock/Diesel are top notch actors because god forbid they're not - but the Punisher is hardly a hard role that can be played by only a certain number of actors. His wife and kid were killed, he's an ex-military guy = brooding, dark, and angry character.

Wait, didn't Vin Diesel already do that movie? I believe it was called "A Man Apart." ;)
