according to the game, you're supposed to add both digits (x + y), then remove this total from the original number(10x + y).
so, (10x + y) - (x + y) turns out to be 9x.
which means that immaterial of what number you choose, the final answer will always be a multiple of 9.
now go back to the game and see... every time you play, the symbols change, but each MULTIPLE of 9 always has the same symbol.
