Teapo is a really cheap Taiwanese brand that, IIRC, was linked to leaking capacitor horror stories in the past. Good capacitor brands include Rubycon, which is a Japanese brand

Try and find a PSU with all decent brand capacitors. Go on. Come back and if you do find one, I'd be intruiged.

teapo isn't as bad as they use to be. almost nobody uses rubycon in powersupplies

AFAIK Zippy uses Rubycon & Nichihon capacitors.

I love my OCZ 420 powerstream. Running a a64 3000+, 2 gb ram, 6800nu, 2 160 gbs and a 300 gb and 2 optical drives among other things and the rails never fluctuate.

As of this point I am leaning towards the Enermax. Mostly because I wouldn't know what to do with adjustable rails.
Also, the Enermax has dual rails (18A each), and I don't need anything that looks nice... case doesn't have window.

The main filter caps in my Enermax 495 V2.0 come from Matshusita/Panasonic.

OZCs are upgraded versions of the Super Flower PSUs. They are decent, but no Japanese components inside.

I also saw a few Japanese components inside a few older Seasonic PSUs.

You dont know what youre talking about. OCZ uses TOPOWER PSUs, built to their specs, its not a SUPER FLOWER..
OCZ has ADJUSTABLE rails and if you had any experience in extreme overclocking, you would know how important this is to have.

The top PSUs are in this order...

Zippy, hands down, Numero uno
PPCC
OCZ
Silverstone

Lower end priced monsters..

Enermax
Fortron
Rosewell
Seasonic

Ignorance = bliss.

What line of manufacturing do you work in?

Are you engineer with specific requirement?

If you cannot answer either question your shortwind answer gain no merit!

This is why certify component are very expensive. Cheap knockoff stuff cheap for reason! Failure rate and inconsistency along line is high. Fortunately most personal computer have wide tolerance to such need. Have a specific need, forget it!

You're a moron!

Last time I heard OCZ power supplies were of Tagan variety. So many world records have been set on the OCZ 520 it's crazy. In fact, both world records for A64 @ 3.6ghz and P4 @ 6.0ghz were set on OCZ 520 some months ago. Also anandtech, xbitlabs and many other good websites have analyzed it and overclocked it - it provides great stability.

One way to measure a quality of the PSU is by its weight. OCZ 520 weighs a ton.

"Upon closer examination of the PowerStream 420 I found other similarities to the Tagan units, such as the PCB color, heatsink design, and mini-circuit boards. This is in no way a criticism of OCZ, as we know out-sourcing produces some of the best products available. Memory makers have done this for years, and countless manufacturers employ this manufacturing methodology as well. Regardless, the reason I even make the association was that I was quite impressed with the Tagan TG480-U01 PSU after coming across several reviews.

Although it may not be obvious, the PCB's are the same beige color, the heatsinks are just about identical, and the mini circuit-board attached to the heatsink is nearly identical except for placement. While this may not be a revelatory observation, OCZ Technology chose a high quality European manufacturer to source many of the unit's parts." - Madshrimps

"The power efficiency, on the contrary, [of the OCZ520] goes as high as 88 percent ? much above the results of the Antec. The BQT P4-450W couldn?t boast stable output voltages, and the ModStream OCZ-520 cannot, either. I think it?s already clear that this PSU doesn?t have any auxiliary regulators, like the models of the PowerStream series. If you?re going for a PSU from OCZ Technology, I would recommend to you to pay attention to models from the PowerStream series instead." - Xbitlabs

OCZ = Topower.

EPower/Tagan = Topower.
