Everyone at times calls some individuals stupid. That's human nature.

Categorically labeling most of the American population stupid is something altogether different. I honestly don't think you can conclude otherwise if you spend anytime at all in public.

I think it's mainly due to that newfangled Technicolor Tele-video box that the kidfolk are obsessed with these days.

We once had the best students, now we're near the bottom in many categories. We can get there again but it will require some hard decisions on the part of the U.S. citizens and politicians.

Hey you know what? You're kind of correct. You didn't take into account the people who are at the average point. But, the argument still holds true in the sense that there will always be below average people (I'm thinking in 40-50% of the population depending on how many are average).

I would assume that your comment is sarcastic, seeing as how 50% is average so there will always be half of the population below average.....


I do think that one of the biggest problems in our country is the fact that no one takes responsibility for their actions. There is always someone else to blame for your problems; parents, society, media, games, music etc.

National test scores today show a marked decrease in performance over just decades ago in many categories. Sure, there will always be varying levels of stupidity but history proves we can do much better.
