I dont understand how that works now... before sure, now it seem he should be thinking about still being pres by friday much less 2020... He allready got from them what he needed so what gives? I think Bannon has one gigantic arm up his arse and he cant really tell anything from anything anymore besides press is fake news.

Trump is aware enough, guided by the few he keeps around (Cons specifically), to keep to the team sport. They need the base fat dumb and happy for 2020.

I want to say he's aware of what 2018 could bring, but I'm not entirely sure of that...even with advisers like Ryan and McConnell.

Trump is totally and rich douche stereotype. White working class is the class he looks down on the least.

The cons are overwhelmingly Christians, if they voted trump in, even knowing what we know about him, I'm not sure how many you get back.

I got two family members who voted for trump, one had regret about a month in, the other is die hard...and will never change. The die hard is Christian 100%, verbally at least.

But whats the magic rating number when the current congress will turn on him? 25? He is moving there fast with episodes like this... Mueller is coming up... I dont see him making it to 18 like this.

I have no idea if there's a specific number, but it will be quite a feat to get Congress to turn on him, it won't be until after 2018, IMO.

Trump has loads of legal system experience, he'll drag it out.

Don't need everyone, just enough to keep the closets nazis (i.e. trump) out of office. And I'm not sure punching them in the face will work any better anyway

No one is trying to erase history. Most sane people are not calling for them to be destroyed but moved to museums where they can be put in proper historical context. Anyone with a real sense of history knows that most of these statues were put up in the 50's and 60's during the Jim Crow era and Civil Rights fight as intentional reminders to people of color that they are not welcome here. What we want is for them not to be portrayed as heroes but something closer to the truth. That they were traitors who broke our nation and fought to maintain slavery.

Even during Nazi Germany most Germans were not a member of the Nazi party. They were not, in fact, Nazis. But they stood by and watched, and even helped, as the Nazi Party did what it did. That is enough. The world recognized that most were not Nazis but that they were to blame anyway. They let it happen. They wanted to benefit from it. The same is true here. Many in that crowed might not have been Nazi's, some might not have even been white nationalists (which, really why are we sugar coating these names?), but they all were complicit in their crimes because they stood by while they chanted Nazi slogans, did not stop them when they got violent, added their numbers to them even if passively. They might not consider themselves Nazi's but that sure are Nazi accomplices and sympathizers by their actions.

I believe that you misunderstood my point. Which is that liberals can and should win this issue using non-violent resistance. The alt-right does not have that luxury. Which is why they rely on the useful idiots like ANTIFA who fight back with violence, or the overzealous tearing down statues without the democratic or due processes of law.
As for the ME, if the Palestinians ever adopted non-violent resistance, and a free and fair media existed to show it to the world, they would have achieved their goals with the Israeli government a long time ago.
Stop tearing down the statues, people. Stop fighting back. Keep resisting. You will be attacked. Stand firm in the knowledge that you are right.
