I gave up TV back in 1997 and REALLY dont miss it.

Occasionally I hear about an AWESOME show from a friend or coworker, I go home, watch it, and then hate television a little more.

Its so much better to get your news from the internet, and your entertainment from books & video games. You waste less time and arent harassed by nearly as many commercial blocks.

Quality rants take a lot out of a person. Maybe JonnyGURU wore himself out? I'm trying to pace myself so as to have many rants for years to come. Someone has to teach the next generation...

Ugh, that stupid "Truth" show did that. They asked something like "do you look at child porn", the guy says "yes", and then there is a 5 second pause. Why would someone say that they did something bad when they didn't. I'll never watch that crap again.

Mythbusters is a master at this, although it didn't used to be as bad. Thank god I have a DVR so I can fast forward through all the:

"Coming up next on Mythbusters!" (Screw you, don't give away the fucking ending, I want to watch the damn show, not a stupid preview!)

"Previously on Mythbusters!" (Yeah, I saw that a few minutes ago, get to the good part already!)

This week they went one better, they were testing out surfing with dynamite:

<cue the big explosion in 3... 2... "Coming up next on Mythbusters!" ARGH! Stop wasting my damn time with all this crap and just cut to the chase. After all that buildup the end result was disappointing anyway. :|

Yeah, got through only 1 contestant in an hour? We don't need the pauses, especially when he's answering on the bad side of a question.
