That's just it--it's not like what you see on CNN. Sure, we can bomb the hell out of buildings and bunkers from a distance and gun the enemy down from miles away. But at some point you have to go door to door like a freaking vacuum salesman and check every car passing through the intersection. You can't just shoot everyone wearing the bad guy color and win the game.

Big deal.

I would be more impressed by the US military if we actually did something for the advancement of mankind. I would be more proud of this country if we spread good values around the world.

That's all fine and dandy but first you have to get rid of the bad people. And since everyone seems to have a different idea as to who the bad people are... well, you see the problem.

Those people in the video are bad people.

The war in Iraq was a mistake and the only people who benefitted are our enemies. It made us a joke worldwide. The people who previously somewhat liked us now hate us.

We humans have to think about humanity as a whole.

And the people in the gunship are bad people?

What about Lil miss marry loo down the street who wears a low top shirt, someone, somewhere thinks she is a bad person. The people in power decide who is bad. They have decided these people are bad *plops his fat hand down on the middle east and China*. Eventually, all of the wolrd will be America, and your dream of peace will come to reality. Or a new super power will emerge and the treak towards one global force will begin again.

I'm sure I'd rather die quickly than be left to die while wounded in a field

Yeah, I know what you mean. War these days is just too easy with all of those high tech guns, bombs, and aircraft. I wish we would go back to using swords and spears, so we could have huge exciting charges like in Braveheart! Man do I wish I could be right in the middle of one of those battles! Imagine how awesome it would be to stab someone in the stomach and actually see the expression on his face right before cutting his head off! I'm getting worked up just thinking about it!!! *grabs sword* RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he was "wounded" by a 30mm High Explosive round... I'm amazed he could even crawl.

Edit: Another thing, with all those equipments and machines, why can't we stop the roadside bombings? I heard it is going on daily in Iraq and seem never stop.

He would have done the same thing to US soldiers. Women and children as well. Its obvious because they are setting up road side bombs.

You think the technology isn't useful?
I would be more proud of this country if we spread love and peace around the world.
Pray tell, how does one do that?

When did I say technology is not useful?

We have the best military in the world and we all know that. Fighting a losing war in Iraq is not acting like a superpower. Are we a superpower or just a country with a great military?

And we can spread peace and democracy in other ways besides war and taking US taxpayer money.

Sorry, I will not bring anymore politics here as they are usually looked down upon.

hay guyz lets all plant flowers in iraq no more blood for oil k. also i <3 france ^_^

Maybe because he was trying to kill as many American soldiers as posible?? It's not like he was a good guy caught up in this little project the Iraquis were working on. He was trying to kill Americans. Dads. Fathers. Husbands. (moms, sisters, all of that too). What, let him get off wounded and send him to a hospital and hope he changes his mind? pure genius.

My question is can you actually change the 3rd guy's point of view? Make him not want to fight. What would it take todo that short of killing him? I'm thinking it's not really possible short of giving him 11 virgins or something
