I've seen that before somewhere.

What's going on in that video? I can't figure out what the 3 people are doing.

Setting up a roadside bomb. They deserved to die. They would have done the same to an American without thinking. Those pilots showed restraint.

Oh setting up a bomb. That's nice.

It looked like one of them threw a gun out in the field.

They definitely needed to die, you won't catch me arguing with that.

Big deal.

I would be more impressed by the US military if we actually did something for the advancement of mankind. I would be more proud of this country if we spread good values around the world.

You think the technology isn't useful?
I would be more proud of this country if we spread love and peace around the world.
Pray tell, how does one do that?

When did I say technology is not useful?

We have the best military in the world and we all know that. Fighting a losing war in Iraq is not acting like a superpower. Are we a superpower or just a country with a great military?

And we can spread peace and democracy in other ways besides war and taking US taxpayer money.

Sorry, I will not bring anymore politics here as they are usually looked down upon.

Sorry, war and killing is human nature. This 'peace' you speak of can only be obtained through total unification. And such thing would require power.

Look at mankind's history. For tens of thousands of years, there are constant rise and fall of nations and bloodsheds.

What makes you think 'peace' is suddenly achievable?

Yea i know.. 2.5 miles..that'd ridiculously far. I'm startled at the relative accuracy of the machine gun at that range.

It can be achieved. You have to look at the root cause for all of this. If people had better lives, much of this can be gotten rid of. People as a whole need to evolve. They need to get rid of the small issues and problems and move on to bigger things. There will always be people who don't live a good life and those people should be treated. Instead of arresting drug users, treat them.

War and killing are only a small part of human nature if you look at the bigger picture and look at things broadly.

Yes, after this war is, another war will be waged by the side that lost to reclaim that piece of land, etc etc. It will go on and on. Oh wait, or until you can completely destroy the opposing side by killing them in massive numbers - i.e. Native Americans.

Wow, do you know what you type?

This statement has the proposition that the US military does nothing for the advancement of mankind. The US military continually develops new technology which can and is used by civilians. Therefore your proposition is incorrect.
Fighting a losing war in Iraq is not acting like a superpower. Are we a superpower or just a country with a great military?
So a superpower must have a flawless military record? (note that I am opposed to the "intervention" in Iraq)
And we can spread peace and democracy in other ways besides war and taking US taxpayer money.
Very good, sir. How might we spread peace and democracy?

I'd rather be up-close and personal myself. That at-a-distance stuff just seems too easy.

Scary how advanced some of that stuff is. It's incredible - and you know we civilians don't get to see anything that's really cool.

So that's what computer assisted targeting systems gets you. That's insane from 2.5 miles out.
