Heh, I'm sure by now their defenses have been fortified after all the attacks - but go for it and let us know how it turns out 😛😉
 
BULL***T! They have raised the rate 2 times in the last few months and now they want to RAISE it again, and TAKE AWAY Saturdays for a service that costs MONEY and takes DAYS to deliver small letters.... why would anyone use it?!

Because I can't send a physical letter from New York to California for 35 cents any other way.

Actually guys.. I was listening to AM radio for once today.. and they said the Post Master General denied that they would be cutting Saturday out of their schedule. They quoted him as saying that it would be something along the lines of suicide for USPS to do that. And that they would find another way to cut the budget than not send items on Saturday.

So it's all good! but then again stamps are still getting raised...
 
Stamps are only raised by a penny at a time. In all honesty, who can't afford the penny per piece? I know people who throw pennies in the trash. Now you can put them to use.

The post office is hurting so bad because people don't send regular mail anymore and email instead. If everyone was still sending letters to keep in touch, the post office would be just fine, and there wouldn't be increases all the time.
 
That sucks but I know that canada - at least nova scotia - certainly doesn't have weekend delivery. Damn, most of our banks close at 3:00 and the SOB in office refuse to allow sunday shopping as well.
 
I don't know if that thing they do on Saturdays qualifies as "delivery". Hell, I don't know if the stuff they get paid to do during the week counts as delivery. I'm getting weary of the postal service and their half-assed job.
 
One thing for sure they are not making money is the FREE Priority Mail boxes that people order like crazy to use them for other purposes!!!

That sucks. I agree with wjones. People do get priority boxes and use them for other purposes.

That was my first thought when I saw the report yesterday (and posted it then, thanks, BrunoPuntzJones, for linking to it 🙂 ). We have serious problems with mail delivery around here - it seems to come and go in waves.

The latest problems involve our mail getting mixed up with someone whose house number is the same as ours (but is on a street two blocks over), and whose last name starts with the same letter as ours. We were averaging one - two pieces a week until both families filed formal complaints, within days of each other (they got a job app my husband really, really wanted to fill out, we got an insurance renewal notice on their house!). It's gotten a little better since then, but we still don't trust it.
