last night I tried googling for the following keywords :

porkster AMD
porkster Intel

It is funny to see his threads, but it makes you think, was he once working for amd but then sacked ? This isn't just loving Intel, he has a very deep hatred versus amd. Even in threads that are not even related to pc hardware he bashes AMD. He gets ridiculised on the hardware fora, but he does damage AMDs name in less hardware related fora.

We'll it was funny to read, but I wonder what drives him, I've never encountered anything quite like that. Or was I just luky enough to not have encountered a "true" fanboy before ?


btw THG stresstest => AMD has been idle for a while, but no message for this anywhere.
 
yes, that was to disable the HT, to see what everybody already know. The idle state I just saw, ws no reboot, I think the farcy may have been stopped or crashed for a while. This explains AMD's advantage in the other benchmarks, and the lower amount of farcry runs (which was the other way around before) , then again, while I saw this, the charts showed nothing for AMD, the voltage used in total was lowered, but the loadbalance chart showed 100% .
They wanted to check divX performance difference withouth the HT "advantage". Most people think the stresstest is stupid, but to me its usefull, you just need to know how to read it.

PS , this is my view to the initial P4 problems :

2*6800U => a lot of heat, a lot of current required
2*prescott => idem

So I don't think the dualcore intel is unstable, I also don't think the intel nforce SLI is unstable, I think it's just beyond any motherboards capacities to feed both the intel and the gf in DUAL

The motherboard doesn't have to... the video cards have additional power connectors so not all the power needs to be drawn through the motherboard.
 
see, this is the time when a mod would come in and say, STOP, and then they would lock and delete the thread because everyone knows this is going to turn into one of those threads again.

Yes that Porkster guy , is on both Tech report, THG and Anandtech. Has been posting his garabe on all 3 sites. I think all the members know him by now. He is just to be ignored.

We need a sign posted saying. Its dangerous to feed the trolls around here!
