You might want to look at www.pandora.com, I've found a lot of other artists I like by entering "the police", and "sting".

Listen to some Stewart Copeland solo stuff, then listen to Outlands d'Amore and you can clearly see his early influence on the music. Then Sting's confidance in his music really started to catch up to his confidance in his lyrics.
