The pointing stick

I'd like to disable the stick because it make the cursor jump to anywhere any time I accidently touch it when I type on the keyboard.
There must be a way to control that!

Don't specifically know about Dell, but I have had several laptops with pointing sticks and touchpads, and all are turned on and off in BIOS.

You can remove the rubber eraser head, but the stub still remains as part of the keyboard. But, you will be less likely to hit it accidentally.

I have the same problem with touchpads - my wrist rests on them, and any movement sends the cursor flying. I turn all those things off in BIOS and use mouse. 🙂

:thumbsup: You might be able to remove the keyboard and unplug the ribbon for the mouse. That is if there are 2 ribbon cables. One for the mouse and the other for a keyboard. I remember i did this with one of my old inspiron laptops.
