I am 17, and personally i do not see the exact point of parties. Can people please tell me what they think of it? And, why or why isn't it fun. Having my Prom in about 3 weeks, and people are say "arh, go to that post party, go to this one". Bah... to me, it is very boring.

For me and my friends, it's about getting together for a few good beers, chatting up the week's events and stories, and playing billards if we're at such an establishment. With girls around, and everyone's just sitting around a house, and nobody's got a chance of making any welcomed moves, yeah I can see that being boring.

can't tell if you're being sarcastic (apologies if you are).... but some of the best times i've had were at little mini-parties in hotel/cabin rooms. every couple does their own little thing, and it's all good 😛

I love just going to a pool hall and hanging out with friends...just vegging out after the sheer horror of my EE curriculum😉
 
The first "party" I Uwent to was lame as hell...


Picture a plain sausage party....


100guys...two ugly-nasty fat chicks and a crappy radio...they were literally handing cups out and letting you stand while you got drunk...


needless to say I did not drink nor did i party....I don't drink but yeesh..that was a REALLY crappy party regardless...

okay, what i meant to say was the people go to parties in the hopes of getting laid 😛

schlongfests suck ass. went to a party once... 10 guys, 1 girl. um yea, so desperate was i to get out of there, i hitchhiked with a friend back to campus

To have fun. All the fun I have in college makes me wish I wasn't such a fscking anti-social in high school.

Oh yes. That is what most of this whole week has been (meeting new people).
 
Personally I can't stand parties. I don't really like to drink, don't love meeting strangers in an enviroment like that. Hence why I don't go to parties. I went to a party with my gf earlier this year, boring as all hell. I knew some of her friends but that was it. She likes to drink a little and talk to people she knows or doesn't know. Personally, I can't stand it.
 
What a freakin ridiculous post. I'm not even going to try and talk you into it. Stay at home and sit in front of your computer then.
 
What's the point of parties? Do you have a dick?!

A good party is a good time. A great party (more girls that guys) is an even better time

Here's some of the things you can do at "parties"
-get your drink on (you dont even have to drink...my friend walks around with a water bottle and has fun)
-do a little bumpin' and grindin'
-meet new people
-talk to girls (yes yes, 'guh' 'erls' they do exist outside of internet porn)
-have....certain types of interactions..with these girls
-chill with your boys (aka friends)
-smoke a J
-overall, have a blast because you're havin fun.


I don't know what kind of parties you're going to, but if everyones not all sweaty and dancing by the end of the night then you're not doing it right.

hmm... remembering my parties... um... let's just say that my parties were the kind that you think you shouldn't be able to survive... 😉 i used to be quite a naughty boy
"party" is a very flexible definition. i find parties to be too structured: best parties are the ones that you have the most fun at, regardless of who is there or what kind of substance is preventing your sobriety. but just talk to people you like, you'll have fun!
