LOL, the Tenacious DVD is definitely worth a rental for all the HBO shows, including the Tribute episode.

Aimee Mann - "It's Not Safe"
Fiona Apple - "Loveridden"
Richard Thompson - "Dimming of the Day", "Waltzing's for Dreamers", ....

...and .so many more I'd be typing all afternoon.

I honestly cannot decide.
So I will say that the 2 best songs to come out in the 90's are:

Live - Lightning Crashes
STP - Plush

Any other decade and too many songs come to mind

Alice in Chains - Nutshell

This one is perfect too.... I think its the only song I've ever heard that'll make me depressed no matter when I hear it.

Yep. You can do a slow dance at the beginning, then slowly move into crazy head banging near the end!

Well, I have several "perfect" songs, one of which is

Tool - The Patient
Lateralus

And if there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.
And I still may.

This song has significant meaning to me at this point in my life.

There is no such thing as perfection, just subjective connections based on the culmination of experience into thought and feeling(wherein thought and feeling are also a form of experience).
