Would you be surprised if there are moviegoers who dress up as Jesus and carry a cross to the theater?

I've seen StarWars, Lord of the Rings, and Matrix fans dressing up. I wouldn't be surprised to see hardcore religious people doing the same thing. I bet you I'll see that old guy from Tennessee again handing out bibles.
 
That's a really good idea, I should dress up as Jesus when I go see Passion. I'm not really religious and I'm definetly not christian, but when I don't shave for a few days, put on a robe and wear my Birkenstocks I look pretty much exactly like the stereotypical Jesus does.
 
that would be sacriligeous. I wouldn't put it past punks and pugnacious atheists to do so, but the people who will actually watch the movie for the movie probably won't.

oh, and I shudder at te thought of the hecklers that this movie will draw.

I don't know what all the fuss is over the "Cross Nails" jewelry that is selling like hotcakes...isn't that JUST like wearing a crucifix? I mean both are representative of His death, and both are part of the object that ultimately killed Jesus.
 
I'm going next Sunday to see the movie. Going w/my sister (who's converted to Greek Orthodox.) I, being an atheist, think this will be an interesting evening!

Wouldn't surprise me, though very few would do it. Could very well happen in the Philipines, some may even crucify themselves as part of the event.
 
The message of the Gospel always draws a reaction... hopefully positive, but hey... maybe the wackos even get something out of it.
