The Paper Towel: Can You Live Wthout It?

They help w/ cleaning while cooking, but they're not too important. I suppose you could liken them to Chewbacca in Star Wars. Not a critical role, but one nonetheless

i can get buy on using just towels and washing them, but paper towels are definitely convenient.

I haven't bought paper towels in the 20 years I've been out on my own. I also use cloth napkins for dinner. Paper's completely unnecessary.

I just buy them and set them up around the house so that the Brawny guy on the wrapper is looking at me no matter what room I am in.

It's easy, I use rags and cloths instead. Sometimes my household runs out of towels within 2-4 days.

I'm bad for using paper towels when I could easily use a reusable cloth. But it just disgusts me to clean up stuff like cat puke with a cloth that I will have to go rinse in the sink and use again. So I tend to clean up, and throw away. It is a bad thing for the environment though... at least they're fairly fast at decomposing, probably less then a year.

Dad had a definition for a "hero"
He/she who brought home margarine and toilet paper, Can't make toast without margarine, and well TP is self explanatory.
Later on he waffled a bit and added paper towels. That was during the boat building era.........😛
