The Palm Treo 700w SUCKKS

so the new Treo700w is like $499 retail, WTF? for what? a garbage piece of crap. my E815 is ten times more realiable and i can actually make and recieve calls. I've gone through 3 this month (first two were faulty, now this one is too..)

I want a PDA phone with XP Moblie but i mean not if its gonna be crap. Anyone have issues with the phone and or know of a better one?
 
I have a TMobile MDA, they're both almost identical (slightly different HTC models--Wizard and Apache). I love my MDA and if I had Verizon would get a xv6700 in a heartbeat...everything I love about my MDA plus faster processor and EVDO? Yes, please! Although I think the battery life is slightly worse that the Wizard 200 (MDA), but don't quote me on that.

Mine only cost $399 and it works great. I have had no problems whatsoever with the 700w and it works great. I recommend it.

i730 has been out for a long time. I liked the phone when it came out, but crappy battery life, cramped keyboard and an older version of Windows, no thanks.
 
was at the Verizon store the other day, saw somebody buy some new PDA phones, I just looked on their web site and don't see it. looked similar to LG the V, but the screen slid up to revile the keyboard. Believe the dude worked there was telling the person who bought it that it ran Mobile XP. Was a very cool looking phone, sorry I don't have any more info on it. Anyone know what the hell phone I'm talking about? I know it's not listed on their web site It's not the samsung i730.

Mine only cost $399 and it works great. I have had no problems whatsoever with the 700w and it works great. I recommend it.

eww, im glad your happy. but for some reason all three of mine suck. bluetooth constantly static (i've tried 4-5 differnt headsets, always the phone..headsets work great w/ other phones) vibrate gets stuck when somecalls, reception terrible, speaker phone sucks. but hey other than that...phone is sweet.

Maybe I'm just lucky. My motorola headset works great and I get good reception and speakerphone works good too.

the i730 has been out a long while now. maybe not in your area??

the xv6700 is sweet, i tried it for 2 weeks but without a data plan it sucks and verizon is a rip off for data.

The screen is better on the 650, and it runs Palm, I know it's a personal preference. But I like it over Microsofts mobile os. Not by much, but if the screen is worse, and it doesn't have my OS of choice I will stick with a 650. Apparently the Bluetooth problems from the 650 are still there. I find that unacceptiable.
 
The 700w is known crap. The 650 was pretty good, the 700p will be king. Of course, nothing good is going to be running windows os, so you're pretty much out of luck. 😎
